Key Findings
- Internal emotional imbalances and external pressures in adolescence contribute to juvenile violence incidents.
Description
Adolescence is an important time full of internal frustration and status-anxiety for teens. Adolescents experience additional pressures from family, school and friends too. According to Singer, these influencers are all related to incidences of juvenile violence. Current responses to juvenile violence are prevention/treatment programs and harsher sentences for juveniles in criminal court.
