Officers already get training to deal with biases they may not know they have, but there’s no evidence it actually works

“I would be surprised if these programs yielded strong, lasting changes in police behavior, because biases and stereotypes are so ingrained in people’s minds that it is not realistic to think a single training would result in significant reductions in bias,” Jacinta Gau CJRA Expert.
